Tarot is not fortune telling. Nobody can tell you the future. And even if they could, it would take all the fun out of living! Tarot is a narrative art and a creative decision-making tool. Its purpose is to trigger or confirm your intuition or to apply a new perspective to a conundrum or dilemma.
In-person tarot readings, mostly in Belleville and the County. @lfesiak

A tarot deck has 78 cards. Cards are chosen at random (by the reader or the listener). The reader composes a story using the cards. The themes are always universal and apply to all aspects of human experience. The purpose of the story is to trigger (or confirm) the listener's intuition. Tarot is similar to the Taoist Book of Changes, or I Ching (which has 64 hexagrams, not 78 cards). However, the I Ching is a solitary exercise, while a Tarot reading is collaborative and social.
Tarot is from Italy, and it's about 600 years old. The Book of Changes, or I Ching, is from China, and it's more than 3000 years old.
